Departing Traffic

Departing Traffic on the YVR2 departure will be climbing up to 7000ft on runway heading unless otherwise instructed.
Pilots require a direct to continue on course. Heading-instructions can be used to turn an aircraft into the direction of their Fix or to ensure traffic seperation.

Vancouver Arrival (or if online Vancouver Departure) must always ensure that departing traffic is seperated to arriving Traffic.
Departing Traffic should be given a climb instruction on runway heading if the arriving traffic flow does not allow an early vector on course.

ACA123, identified passing 1200ft, maintain present heading, continue climb 13,000ft.
ACA123, direct SEATN on course.

ACA123, identified passing 1200ft, direct SEATN on course, continue climb FL240.

Handoffs:

Southbound departures can be sent either to Seattle Center or to Unicom, without contacting CZVR_CTR. Low IFR (E.g. prop aircraft) southbound departures might cross the airspace of Victoria Terminal.

Northbound departures will be handed-off to Vancouver Center when they are close to exiting the Arrival class Charlie airspace.
