Real Runway Operations

For realistic Controllers, you are enabled to simulate how Kelowna is operating in real time. This could include reasons of construction, snow operations, heavy winds with light traffic counts and any other scheduled or un-scheduled runway closures, even including emergencies during your controlling sessions.

Runway Changes Due to Wind:

Kelowna will typically have runway 16 open, as it is the only runway equipped with an ILS system.
Those operations will be run until the tailwind component reaches 5KT.

Noise Abatement:

Kelowna does not have any special Noise Abatement procedures, due to the limited options given by the high terrain around the airport.
