  • All active runways
  • Setting active runways
  • Tower airspace extends up to 6NM from CYYJ airport and up to 2500ft MSL

Radio Examples

IFR takeoff clearence:

(Callsign), once airborne contact Terminal (or center, or monitor unicom), (wind), cleared for takeoff runway (RWY)

IFR CYYJ5 takeoff clearence:

(Callsign), fly runway heading, once airborne contact Approach (or center, or monitor unicom), (wind), cleared for takeoff runway (RWY)

Visual Flight Rules (VFR)

Tower will keep VFR Depatures until the aircraft is reaching 6NM boundary from CYYJ airport or requesting to climb above 2500ft MSL

Pattern Directions

Runway 03: Left Hand*

Runway 09: Left Hand

Runway 14: Right Hand*

Runway 21: Left Hand*

Runway 27: Right Hand

Runway 32: Right Hand*

Runways 03/21 & 14/32 are typically not in use for VFR operations, due to the traffic circuit crossing the main runway 09/27
