Area of Responsibility (Tower)

  • Taxiways west of runway 13/31
  • Setting the active runways.
  • Tower Airspace extends up to 6NM from CYVR airport and up to 2500ft MSL

Radio Examples

IFR takeoff clearence:

(Callsign), once airborne contact Arrival (depature, center or monitor unicom), (wind), cleared for takeoff runway (RWY)

IFR YVR2YVR3 takeoff clearence:

(Callsign), fly runway heading, once airborne contact Arrival (depature, center or monitor unicom), (wind), cleared for takeoff runway (RWY)

Visual Flight Rules (VFR)

Tower will keep VFR Depatures until the aircraft is reaching 6NM boundary from CYVR airport or requesting to climb above 2500ft MSL

Pattern Directions

Runway 08R: Right Hand

Runway 08L: Left Hand

Runway 26L: Left Hand

Runway 26R: Right Hand

Runway 13/31 is not used for VFR traffic; Runway 13: Right Hand. Runway 31: Left Hand
