Kelowna Ground is responsible for issuing clearences, the startup and pushback is the responsibility of Ground aswell to give clearences.

Radio Examples

IFR Clearence:

(Callsign), cleared to (airport) via the (SID) departure, flight plan route, depart runway (runway), Squawk (code) .

ACA123, cleared to Vancouver airport via the MERYT6 departure, flight plan route, depart runway 09, Squawk 1234

IFR Clearence without SID:

(Callsign), cleared to (airport), flight plan route, Squawk (code) .

ACA123, cleared to Vancouver airport, flight planned route, Squawk 1234.

Readback correct Phraseology:

(Callsign), Readback Correct, Push and Start at Pilots Discretion. Departure Frequency (frequency) , call for taxi)

ACA123, Readback Correct, Push and Start at Pilots Discretion, Departure Frequency (125.95), call for taxi.

Taxi Clearence (Departures):

ACA123, runway 16 taxi via the apron, Delta and Alpha, altimeter 2992.

VFR Taxi Clearence (Departure)

VFR Arrivals should be sent to the general aviation area north-west of the field.
